What BetterAsk is
BetterAsk provides educational, decision-support information to help homeowners compare HVAC contractor quotes. BetterAsk is not a contractor marketplace, does not sell your information to contractors, and does not accept referral commissions from contractors.
Not professional advice
BetterAsk's reports, scores, and recommendations are generated using automated analysis and do not replace advice from a licensed contractor, mechanical engineer, attorney, or financial advisor. Final decisions about contractor selection, system sizing, and your HVAC purchase remain entirely your responsibility. We are not liable for outcomes of contracts you enter into with any HVAC contractor.
Your account
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload files that aren't genuine HVAC quotes you've received
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access another user's reviews or account data
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service
Paid features
Some features (such as Expert Engineer Review) may require payment. Pricing will be disclosed before you're charged.
